GMB Members Working At London's Gala Casinos Settle Pay Deal In Time For ChristmasUnion members at Gala’s five London casinos have voted by 92% in favour of the latest company offer of 3.4%. Including other elements the over deal is worth 4.89% in total. 28 Nov 2005
This puts an end to the long running dispute removing the threat of Industrial action at Christmas. This is a victory for common sense and hopefully paves the way to better employer / employee relations based on mutual respect. The backdated increases should be in time for Christmas and will be considerable for many of our members Gala invited mediation with ACAS after GMB members in London's five Gala casinos, voted in a consultation ballot, by almost 90% to take industrial action in the run up to Christmas if an improved offer was not forthcoming.
