GMB Tied Tenants Trade Dispute
Pubcos £12,000 Lessees Rip-Off
Average tied lessees are overcharged by pubcos by around £12,000
per annum
or £230 per pub,per week according to the Office of Fair Trading
(oft) report,
says GMB.
If the tied pub tenants were able to
add this £12,000 to their annual income it would go a long way to
resolve the situation whereby, according to the Business
&Enterprise Committee(BEC), two thirds of tied tenants earn
less than £15,000 a year.
