Bring On Scotland’s Tax Power

GMB ENDORSE THE CALL BY THE LABOUR SPOKESPERSON TO BRING FORWARD THE NEW BORROWING POWERS FOR THE SCOTTISH PARLIAMENT

 

The UK government is taking an almighty gamble with the UK economy as the growth figures for the 4th quarter of 2010 shows

 

Alex McLuckie, GMB Senior Organiser for public services in Scotland said, "The fall in the budget for capital projects from £3.3billion to £2.1billion is going g to have a knock on effect on the on the 180 projects already in the pipeline. This will impact on employment in Scotlandas does the nearly 10,000 posts to be deleted from Scotlandlocal authorities.

GMB endorse the call by the Labour spokesperson to bring forward the new borrowing powers for the Scottish Parliament so that these projects can be funded."
