I’ve given 45 years of my life to Asda.
They were always such a great company to work for, I loved my job and I wore my uniform with pride.
But now that has all changed. Asda should be thoroughly, thoroughly ashamed of themselves for what they’re doing to loyal workers like me and my colleagues.
I walk round the store now and all you see is sadness and stress on peoples faces.
It’s heartbreaking.
Despite everything we’ve done for the company, after all these years, the bosses want more.
They’ve drawn up a contract that rewards us with cuts to our terms and conditions, ends paid breaks and removes the choice over what shifts we work and when.
"Asda should be thoroughly, thoroughly ashamed of themselves for what they’re doing to loyal workers like me and my colleagues."
And if we don’t sign their new contract - they are threatening to sack us.
It’s just not fair.
People are terrified. Terrified of losing their jobs. Terrified to jump one way or the other. We just don’t know what to do.
So many feel so desperate they have had no choice but to sign.
