GMB Branch at the Forefront of Promoting Womens rugby

GMB’s Camborne branch sponsor Camborne RFC's Women’s section

A partnership that aims to put Camborne RFC’s Womens team at the forfront of the game has been entered into between the Club and GMB’s Camborne branch.

The branch decided to back the team after an active branch member raised the teams search for funding at a branch meeting, and following negotiations with the Clubs Committee.

The Sponsorship will include the purchase new training kit sporting the GMB  logo for the new season.

It has been unwritten branch policy to sponsor and support local organisations in recent years with particular emphasis towards local youth events and teams with attendant advertising and publicity.

Currently the branch has sponsors the Camborne cricket club, Redruth cricket club, Illogan athletic youth football team and Barripper village playing field association all with attendant advertising as well as sponsoring Camborne Rugby Club in the recent past.

Christopher Lawrence branch secretary and Wayne Rowe, head coach of the Womens team were pleased to unveil a promotional board at Camborne RFC’s Clubhouse.
