GMB, the security union, has condemned a car bomb which put members’ lives at risk.

The attack took place outside Derry/Londonderry courthouse on Saturday.

As Saturday is not a normal court day, the only people likely to have been present were GMB security personnel and civil servant workers carrying out administrative duties.

GMB condemns this completely unacceptable risk to the union’s security members.

Michael Mulholland, GMB Organiser, said:

“GMB condemns this attack in the strongest possible terms.

“For our members to be put at risk in this way as they go about their jobs is totally unacceptable.”
