GMB members will stage a picket line at TUC’s Congress House a part of a dispute with Thompsons solicitors.

The pay dispute looks set to lead to a national walk out from Thompsons’ offices across the country on October 18.

One of Thompsons’ London offices is at the TUC HQ, Congress House, Great Russell Street, WC1B 3LS, followed by a demonstration.

The picket line will start at 7am and the demonstration will take place at 10:30am on Friday 18th October.

Nadine Houghton, GMB national officer said:

“GMB is picketing Congress House because we are in dispute with Thompsons, the trade union law firm.

“Thompsons has an office at Congress House and therefore our members will be picketing their place of work.

"We are calling on our sisters and brothers from across the movement to show solidarity with our striking Thompsons members - trades council and union branch banners are most welcome.

"We are also calling on the TUC to support GMB members in the time honoured tradition upon which our movement relies - with solidarity for our members in struggle.
