My name is Sam, I'm a refuse loader/driver in South East London.

I became a GMB representative when I saw things happening at work that I thought were unfair.

I'm a female rep but I represent mainly male workers. I love ensuring that GMB members have a voice at work and standing up to unfairness when I see it.

Many of the members in my workplace have literacy problems so it's easy for management not to treat them fairly - thats where the GMB comes in - to ensure everyone is treated as they should be.
