GMB turns our members' priorities into political action
we work to secure real improvements in the law - strengthening rights at work, defending public services and holding governments to account when they fall short. We support members to understand how political decisions shape their workplaces and communities, and we provide training and development so they can influence those decisions directly — locally, regionally and nationally.A voice for members in Westminster
Parliament sets the legal framework that governs pay, pensions, job security and equality at work. That is why GMB maintains a strong, organised presence in Westminster. Our National Political Team works with members to ensure their experiences shape legislation at every stage. We work closely with GMB Parliamentarians who raise members’ issues and help drive change.
But our political work is not confined to Westminster. Whether it is protecting jobs in key industries or campaigning for stronger legal protections for frontline workers, we ensure members’ voices are heard where decisions are made — and that politics reflects the realities of working life.
