GMB Trade Union - JCB deliver drivers to vote on strike action

We face a crushing cost of living crisis, these drivers deserve more than a pay cut

JCB delivery drivers are to vote on strike action in anger at a real terms pay cut.

Dozens of GMB members, employed by delivery giant DHL, voted 95 per cent in favour of strike action during a consultative ballot.

The workers, who deliver JCB parts between factories across the UK, are now set for a full industrial action ballot at the end of the month.

Bosses are trying to impose at 5 per cent pay award, with inflation running at more tha 8 per cent.

Stuart Harrison, GMB Organiser, said:

"This ballot result sends a clear message to both JCB and DHL; drivers have had enough with not being listened to.

“We face a crushing cost of living crisis, they deserve more than a pay cut.

“GMB will now move to a formal industrial action ballot.”
