Under Mr Beighton’s tenure profits rocket while hard-pressed workers were denied toilet breaks
GMB, the union for Asos workers, has responded to the departure of company chief Nick Beighton.
Will Dalton, GMB Organiser, said:
“During his tenure Nick Beighton has seen profits soar off the backs of hard-pressed workers.
"The company has grown substantially during the pandemic, with income sky-rocketing while its warehouse workers are forced into high pick rates and refused toilet breaks.
“At the height of covid, terrified workers branded the packed warehouse a ‘cradle of disease’.
“GMB Union will be contacting Mr Beighton’s replacement demanding they recognise the GMB Union and the voice of Asos workers.”
