GMB members have announced a third month of strike dates as industrial action threatens to disrupt the company until Christmas and beyond.
GMB members have announced an additional nine days of strike action throughout October and November, which will see workers across one of the Midlands biggest housing providers down tools over the company’s poverty-pay offer to staff.
Justine Jones, GMB Organiser, said:
“The morale amongst GMB members at Walsall Housing Group is electric, they’re organised and determined to win the pay rise they so clearly deserve.
“Walsall Housing Group top brass meanwhile are asleep at the wheel as the company faces a third month of strike action.
“GMB will not accept pennies on the pay packet of workers, as company management have awarded themselves bumper rises.
“Our members aren’t backing down, and the company face the very real risk of seeing their reputation in tatters over their unwillingness to budge on pay.
“It’s time for them to get back around the table with an offer that reflects the hard work and contribution these staff make, day in and day out. If they don’t then there is no reason this action won’t continue until Christmas and beyond”.
