GMB Union has responded to an announcement today [Friday] the Government will provide a £500 million boost for hydrogen to create thousands of jobs. [1]
Andy Prendergast, GMB National Secretary, said:
“Hydrogen is going to be a vital fuel that provides a road to net zero for heavy industry and home heating.
“This announcement gives real hope that we can seize this growing export market and secure the jobs of well over 100,000 gas engineers in the process.”
