Construction materials giant Saint Gobain will be hit by strike action at their Staffordshire abrasives plant as GMB members down tools over a real-terms pay cut.
GMB union announced today that members in the Staffordshire plant will take action between Tuesday 30th August and Friday 2nd September.
Stuart Harrison, GMB Organiser, said:
“The pay offer from company top brass has been overwhelmingly rejected by our members. They've unanimously decided to go on strike, to send a clear message that 3% is not an acceptable offer in the midst of the worst cost of living crisis in a generation.
“The GMB are urging the company to listen to our members and get back around the table with an offer that represents the contribution these workers make to the company.”
