GMB Union has said 2.5 million in retention payments to Thames Water top brass should be scrapped - rather than deferred into the new year.
Gary Carter, GMB National Officer, said:
"It’s wrong that these bonuses should be deferred, they should be scrapped.
"If Thames won’t do the right thing, then Ofwat should step in to stop them.
"Considering the state Thames is in, there is no justifiable reason to pay out this cash."
