Yodel has slashed 60 lorry driver roles in its bid to become a 'locker-first service'.
The delivery giant told workers this week that with 'regret' approximately 60 LGV1 roles would go across its sites in Hatfield, Hertfordshire and Wednesbury in the West Midlands.
Nicola Savage, GMB National Officer, said:
"Cutting these jobs is both cruel and short sighted.
"Our hard working, dedicated members are devastated.
"Agency usage is at a high in Yodel, whilst loyal employed workers face the axe."
