Ruth Pitchford, Jacky Kitchen, Stacey Blair and Marie Proctor were invited to meet the Royals in recognition of their work helping people across the UK.
The event on Wednesday [11 February] celebrated the vital role played by carers across the country and recognised individuals who go above and beyond in supporting the sector.
A handful of carers were nominated for the event for by GMB for their dedication, commitment and tireless work.
Ruth Pitchford, Care Worker, said:
"To be nominated for the work we do is an honour, but to be selected to meet the King and Queen was amazing.
“It was fantastic to speak to so many others who work in the care sector and to speak personally to Sophie.
“I felt she really listened to the issues we face and how care needs to be funded: free at the point of use, with staff respected and paid fairly.
“GMB is the union for care workers and I'm proud to work in care.”
