Workers at Vossloh in Scunthorpe will down tools this week.
GMB Union has today announced that workers at Vossloh will begin industrial action this week.
The news comes after pay talks between the company and GMB failed to reach agreement.
Workers are furious after company managers offered a below inflation pay rise, despite staff in other parts of the company abroad being offered packages worth over 5.5% and company Directors pocketing 10% bonuses.
The company manufactures rails and connector components, currently planned for Sheffield's tram network.
Workers will down tools from 6AM from today, Monday 15 until June.
Leona Roberts, GMB Organiser, said:
"This is a hugely profitable company, relying on the skill and dedication of GMB members to make these products.
"The fact company bosses apparently cant see this goes some way to showing why these workers are so furious.
"There is a cost of living crisis in the UK; it is completely unfair that workers here aren't offered pay rises in line with colleagues in Europe.
"Workers at Vossloh make vital products; this strike action causes a headache for some of the UK's largest rail infrastructure projects
"This strike action will not be the end this and the company needs to get back around the table to fix this, and fast".
