Workers at Nottinghamshire's Cinch Connectors will down tools from today, says GMB.
GMB Union Members have today announced that workers at Cinch Connectivity Solutions near Worksop have begun a week of strike action.
This news comes in due to an ongoing dispute with management over pay for production and warehousing staff at the company.
Cinch Connectivity Solutions are one of the UK's leading manufacturers of advanced electrical components, primarily for the defence and aviation industry.
Strike action has begun today, lasting for one week.
Around 50 workers are expected to join the strike.
Colin Whyatt, GMB Organiser, said:
"These are vital workers, creating electrical components for some of the most advanced defence and aeronautical technology in the UK.
"They deserve a pay packet that reflects that, and an income that keeps up with the cost of living.
"GMB will always make sure the voices of defense manufacturing workers are heard.
"It's time for company bosses to get back around the table, and quick".
