GMB Union, representing workers at Talford based manufacturer Moveero (formally GKN Sankey), has today responded to the news that company administrators have failed to find a buyer.
The news means the end of trading for the company and comes after administrators were appointed in March this year.
Chris Hoofe, GMB Organiser, said:
"This is a devastating blow for high-skilled manufacturing workers.
"This is a company than can trace its history back to producing vital components for the Spitfire, the machine that won us World War Two.
"In the days and week ahead our union is focused on ensuring these workers get the best possible deal."
