Welsh fighter pilot equipment workers have won a pay rise following 'tough' negotiations.
Staff at Qioptiq Teledyne, in Denbighshire, will now get a 4 per cent rise for the next two years, following talks between bosses, GMB, Unite and the ACAS conciliation service.
Qioptiq Teledyne workers make avionic displays for fighter pilot helmets, night vision equipment and space optics for the UK military.
Alyn Thomas, GMB Regional Organiser,, said:
“This deal shows what can be achieved through resilience, and collective strength.
"Workers stood firm through tough negotiations and that unity has delivered progress.
"GMB reps worked tirelessly and their commitment, alongside the strength of the membership, has been crucial in achieving this result.
"Qioptiq staff can be rightly proud of their branch and the efforts made on their behalf."
